How We Help

How We Help

What to Expect: Adults

Our first meeting will give us a chance to get to know each other and decide if we will work well together. I’ll ask questions about your medical history and your personal and family history of mental health and illness. We’ll talk about your goals and what you want to get from therapy. If we are a good fit for your needs, we will decide on a schedule for meeting regularly and a therapy plan.

What to Expect: Teens

Our first meeting will be a time for us to get to know each other and to decide if it makes sense to work together. At the beginning of the first session, I will meet with you and one or both of your parents/guardians. We’ll talk about your life situation (including school, social life, and family life) as well as your mental health and treatment history.

Then I’ll ask your parent/guardian to leave the room so we can talk one-on-one about you, your life and your goals for therapy. After, I’ll ask your parent/guardian to come back. If we are a good fit for your needs, we will decide on a regular schedule and therapy plan.
